Fashion Icon Vivy Yusof Is The First Female Entrepreneur To Publish A Book With Penguin Books

Malaysia isn’t only known for its beautiful beaches, secluded islands and tourist spots, it’s also home to nostalgic and iconic brands like Maybank, Dutch Lady and Petronas! With Malaysia’s increasing success as a business hub throughout the decades, its no surprise that young Malaysian entrepreneurs are also stepping up and creating a name for themselves - much like fashion icon and business woman Vivy Yusof. ?

34-year-old Vivy Yusof is a fashion entrepreneur and the co-founder of FashionValet and The dUCk Group. She has a decorated list of accomplishments under her belt including the Young Entrepreneur Award at the ASEAN@15 Achievement Awards in 2017 as well as “Women Icon of Malaysia” by the Ministry of Women in 2018.

And now, she’s about to add another to the list for being the first female entrepreneur to be signed on by Penguin Books, the acclaimed regional publishing house that will be managing her upcoming memoir! ?

Her first book that will be released in December of this year is titled, The First Decade: My Journey From Blogger To Entrepreneur.

The book will follow Vivy’s life from the start of her career in 2010 when she first gained a following through blogging. At that time, the successful businesswoman started out as a young Malaysian entrepreneur in the fashion e-commerce industry. After which she co-founded modest fashion brands - The dUCk Group and LILIT which have become well known in Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia.

What began from her interest in writing, has allowed her to jumpstart into the industry and rewarded her with a following that now includes 1.8 million followers on her verified Instagram account and 243,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. ?

Even while running multiple businesses, the mother of 4 continues to blog on her website Proudduck about her children, love life and the struggles of being a business owner. Her relatable and humorous content is very entertaining to read, further emphasising that she isn’t too different from the rest of us! ? But even a quick peek at her Instagram captions will tell you she has a bubbly and charming personality.
