1. Marmalade

Starting off with a cafe well-known among those in Bangsar is Marmalade. This bright spacious cafe located in Bangsar Village II is popular with many for its menu which includes a range from brunch favourites to western and local mains. The pretty interior of the cafe is also much appreciated, as with its efforts to be kid and family-friendly! The cafe has a children's play area filled with toys and trinkets that are perfect for keeping kids entertained.

Marmalade also helpfully has a kid's menu that will be sure to entice any fussy palate, with dishes like spaghetti bolognese and chicken teriyaki rice bowls!

2. Wondermilk

Wondermilk has been on the KL scene for a while and has become a favourite for many! This eatery which started off as a cupcake business has now become a full-fledged cafe serving savoury meals as well as other sweet treats.

Wondermilk strives to make its spaces family-friendly. All of its outlets have kids' play areas that are both spacious and x. Besides its sweet treats that no kid can resist (like cupcakes, cookies, and their popular flavoured milk), Wondermilk also has a kid's menu with pasta in tomato or cheesy sauce, and sausage with fries.

3. Gula Cakery

Looking for somewhere to get your cake and coffee fix with your little one in tow? Gula cakery has you sorted! Starting off as a home-based bakery, Gula Cakery opened a brick-and-mortar store in Kota Kemuning.

You’ll be spoilt for choice at the cafe, where there can be up to 26 types of desserts on the counter! So you can grab a few treats and indulge while your kids enjoy the cute play area. If you're looking for a full meal, don't worry, the cafe serves savoury meals such as pasta dishes and local favourites such as laksa. Plus, the cafe offers baking classes for kids, which means you'll even be able to get more free time to yourself!

4. Green Tomato Cafe

Tucked away in a bungalow converted into a restaurant is Green Tomato Cafe. This cafe, which also houses a batik workshop premise, serves coffee, all-day breakfast and light bites, perfect for a brunch outing. It has an outdoor play area in the garden, while also having an indoor kids' playroom upstairs, so there's plenty to keep the kids entertained!

The cafe runs batik and painting workshops for kids, so do keep up with them on social media for the latest updates. They even host batik and tie-dye birthday parties!

5. RGB & The Bean Hive

RGB & The Bean Hive is a cafe located in a colonial-style bungalow in a quiet area in the heart of KL. This cafe is serious about its coffee, with beans roasted in-house. On the food front, the menu is made up of  Asian and Western meals, and also includes plenty of healthy options and even vegetarian and vegan fare. There are also baked goods and other desserts to keep your sweet tooth satiated. There's a kid's menu available that rotates regularly, so check out their options when you visit!

The cafe has a kids' corner located upstairs, with soft mats and a union-jack embellished sofa, but there are also plenty of knick-knacks around the cafe that will help occupy many a child!

A co-working space, indoor playland and restaurant rolled into one, LinDees is perfect for parents who want to get some work done while spending quality time with their kids. LinDees has an indoor playground that is filled with baby sensory play, sports activity, water sensory play, scheduled activities and more.

Once your little ones have explored the area, take them to Nom Nom Land where your kids can talk about their day over big breakfast, roti canai, pancakes or warm milk muesli.
