Bangkok remains a super popular destination for many travellers from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, and it's little wonder why! With delicious food, amazing culture and heritage plus tons of shopping choices, it ticks all the boxes for a great getaway nearby. While halal food isn't difficult to find in Bangkok, given the huge influx of Muslim visitors (from Southeast Asia as well as Middle-Eastern countries), a number of hotels in the city are striving to provide amenities focused on Muslim guests, including in-house halal food options! So if you're looking for a halal hotel in Bangkok for your next getaway, look no further.

We've rounded up the Muslim-friendly hotels in Bangkok that serve halal food which will be perfect for your next getaway!

1. Nouvo City Hotel

Nouvo City Hotel located close to the bustling Khao San Road in the old city area of Bangkok starts off our list. This Muslim-owned hotel is perfect for Muslim visitors - not only does the hotel restaurant serve only halal food and beverages, but the entire hotel is also alcohol-free and there are helpful Muslim-friendly amenities such as qiblah (prayer directions) marked in the hotel rooms and prayer rooms available in the hotel.

The hotel has two in-house eateries, Canal Restaurant where the breakfast buffet is served and also Sara Restaurant which serves an array of Thai, Indian and international cuisine. All food and beverage services in both eateries are certified halal by the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand (CICOT), so you can fully indulge in everything offered!

Don't forget to check out the two swimming pools available, and if you're looking for some pampering, they have an in-house spa too!

2. Al Meroz Hotel

Next on our list is Al Meroz Hotel, a halal hotel that will welcome you with its plush furnishings and spacious rooms. This fully halal hotel strives to cater to the needs of Muslim guests, and it shows in the thoughtful amenities provided. For one thing, all of its 242 rooms not only have the direction of the qiblah marked but also have a prayer mat and a copy of the Quran. In addition, one floor of the hotel is dedicated to female-only travellers, with specified hours allotted for female-only use of the pool and gymnasium!

Similar to Nouvo City, the hotel offers only halal-certified food and drinks, with alcoholic beverages not allowed on the premises. Two restaurants are available at the hotel - Barakat, a Mediterranean Restaurant, and Diwan, the all-day family dining restaurant. You'll find plenty of Arabic flavours and influences, but Diwan also serves a variety of international cuisine, so you'll be spoilt for choice!

3. Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel

Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel is a boutique hotel located in Soi 3 (Nana Nua) at the heart of the Sukhumvit area, conveniently within walking distance from the Nana and Phloen Chit BTS stations. The rooms (160 of them) range from Superior to the Executive Suite, all decorated in a contemporary style. There's a rooftop pool and also amenities such as a gym and massage/spa facilities too!

The hotel has an array of halal food options available for Muslim guests. For breakfast (served at the Tropical Max restaurant), there are halal foods available in the buffet (though do note that there are also non-halal foods served - the foods are all clearly marked and labelled accordingly). In addition, Tropical Max also offers a halal dim sum menu (including halal roast duck!). There is also the Oasis restaurant which is fully halal, serving Arabic cuisine.

4. Amari Watergate Bangkok

If you're looking for a slightly more luxurious stay in the city, Amari Watergate Bangkok will be right up your alley. Situated in the bustling shopping Pratunam neighbourhood, it's a great place to stay and be within walking distance of places like Platinum Fashion Mall, Central World, and a Big C Supercenter.
